PRESS RELEASE
First Annual Keller Williams RED Day - A Day to Give Back to the Communities Keller William's Employees Serve
Indianapolis, IN - May 2009 will be the first time all Keller Williams associates will pull together and give back to their communities. RED (Renew, Energize and Donate) Day is a new Keller Williams Realty service initiative dedicated to improving local communities. Keller Williams has asked OVER 72,000 Keller Williams Realty associates in the US and Canada to donate their time on May 14, 2009 to help renew and energize their local communities. Because of the constant commitment to the culture of our company, this day has been dedicated in honor of our Vice Chairman, Mo Anderson.
Our vision for this day is that all Keller Williams associates will actively engage in a coordinated effort to improve their local community. Activities throughout the U.S. may include rehabbing a house, cleaning up a local trail, providing food for the homeless, or any other service related activity that may be needed in their communities. This will be one of the single biggest events ever undertaken in the real estate industry, and could possibly inspire others in the real estate industry to start their own community service project.
Locally over 300 Keller Williams associates have committed to donate their time on May 14, 2009 to help the City of Indianapolis Parks Department. There are more than 50 Indy parks that are in desperate need of clean up and revitalization. The local Keller Williams agents in the Indianapolis area hope to give support to as many of these parks as possible on that day.
In addition to donating their time to the Indy Parks, the CARMEL market center will support the Matthew 25 Center of Hamilton County, which is located on Oakridge Road in Carmel. This Center helps over 800 individuals a month, but with the current economy this Center is in need of help to keep their shelves stocked so it can continue to support individuals and families in need. Between April 20th and May 15th, Keller Williams agents will be spanning out in their communities collecting donations of non-perishable canned goods, toiletries, furniture and cash donations. On Saturday, May 16th, all collected items will be delivered to the Matthew 25 Center.
Individual donations can be dropped off at the Keller Williams Carmel office located at:
11711 N Meridian St., Suite #100 Carmel, IN 46032
